The Association of the U.S. Army holds its Annual Meeting and Exposition at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC from October 12 to 14. It’s the biggest land-power defense show in the United States.
The Army’s top leadership speaks here, and acquisition officials walk the floor. Prime contractors bring vehicles, drones, air defense systems and soldier kit, and smaller firms come hoping to get in front of the people who write requirements.
Army modernization sets the agenda. Counter-drone systems, long-range fires, networked command and control and cheaper, faster procurement have dominated recent shows, and the war in Ukraine keeps reshaping what the Army says it needs.
For anyone in the defense industry, AUSA is where you hear the Army’s priorities straight from the people who’ll be buying.
