January 18, 2018 By EventCalendar.net

The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is full to bursting point with the latest innovations within interior design and lighting for both homes and public spaces. New products, new materials, new knowledge, new trends and new environmental and technological solutions are displayed in a both informative and inspirational manner.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will be held on February 6-10, 2018 at Stockholmsmässan. Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is the world’s largest meeting place for Scandinavian furniture and lighting design. Domestic and international visitors will find the most comprehensive selection of Scandinavian furniture, office furnishings, design, textiles, lighting and other interior furnishings for both homes and public spaces. Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair runs in parallel with Stockholm Design Week.

Stockholm

By combining Stockholm Design Week and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, Week 6 is now booked in the calendars of buyers, architects, designers and journalists from all over the world. With the trade fair at the middle of it all, the entire city will be buzzing with around 200 events, installations and parties. This year’s Design Week will also include a unique light installation in Kungsträdgården.

The first-ever Design Week was held in 2002, and the week has evolved to include today more than 200 design-related events spread throughout the city. Many of the exhibitions are open to the general public.

“It is our ambition to make Stockholm the natural display window for Scandinavian design. We believe that it is very important for our visitors get as positive a total experience from the week as possible. Design Week functions as a meeting place for the industry even outside of Stockholmsmässan’s halls. We are continuing to develop the week in cooperation with the City of Stockholm and the industry. For example, the design content of Design Week will be expanded to include fashion, food and architecture. I also hope that everyone interested in design will come to the fair on Saturday, the day it is open to the public, to see the most recent developments in design,” says Cecilia Nyberg, Event Manager for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.
