The 6th International Railway Summit will take place in Prague on 21-23 February 2018. Major railway projects, including the proposed Dresden – Prague high speed line to be part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), will keep the Czech Republic at the centre of Europe’s rapid development in rail transport, and the region’s desire for greater connectivity and collaboration. The summit conference will take a special look at the challenges of “Enhancing the Passenger Experience”.
The CEO of Czech Railways, Pavel Krtek, will deliver the opening night welcome speech, debate the role of competition in the railway industry, and meet with expert solution providers. Mr Krtek will give a speech on the evening of Wednesday 21 February 2018, welcoming delegates from across the globe to Prague, and 3 days of lively debate, exclusive one-to-one meetings, as well as formal and informal networking opportunities. He will also take part in a panel discussion entitled “Does competition benefit passengers?” on the morning of Thursday 22 February, debating with public and private operators, international organisations, and regulators.
